Stuart A. Kauffman was looking forward to his collaboration with you at Harvard in 2008. Are you going to write anything together about this experience?

The notion of emergence haunts me and has for some time. This line of thinking make sense to me in ways that some other notions do not. As much as I like Dennett, I find the mystery of emerging structures intriguing and aweseome. My congnitive skills seem to fade but this was the line of thinking that I found exciting in reading Gordon Kaufman.

Stuart Kauffman invited me to join. I am very much interested in his work on emergence, and I am interested in participating in the discussion of his new book.
About Me:
jI am the Mallinckrodt Professor of Divinity, Emeritus at Harvard Divinity School. I have written many articles and fourteen books on theological matters, and I have been developing theological ideas that are pertinent to S. Kauffman's new book. So we both are interested in my participating in these discussions.

To Ulrike Reinhard: I have a short piece (approximately 3 pp. double spaced) simply entitled "Creativity." Will the boxes in which entries are made simply accept an item that long, if I transfer the whole piece at once? Please let me know. Thanks. Gordon

To Larry W. Suberbier: Stu Kauffman and I continue to be in touch with each other, but I doubt that we will write together any sort of paper at this time. Thanks for your inquiry. Gordon Kaufman
